When Everyone’s Given Up on Him But You
You see what he could be. So do we. Find out if camp could help.
Few things are as discouraging—and scary—as watching your son’s life fall apart in slow motion.
You never get used to having your workday interrupted by a stern call from school, or coming home to a police car in the driveway.
And you’re too familiar with the aching loneliness when you find out he’s been expelled from another school or kicked out of another program—and you don’t have a clue where to turn next.
Other people can shrug and send him back, but you don’t have that luxury.
You’re his mom. You’ve loved him fiercely since the unforgettable moment you first held him close. And you’ll never give up on him.
Take a deep breath. The good you see in your son is real. And at Allegany Boys Camp, we believe in it too.
No program can guarantee success. But most moms find camp a real turning point that puts them and their sons back on the path to a normal life and successful adulthood.

Our Beliefs and Philosophy
The leadership and staff at Allegany Boys Camp are Christians, and camp is a Christian environment. We do our best to live by the Bible and the teachings of Jesus.
Your child is unique and priceless, created in God’s image to thrive and succeed. So one of the best ways to honor God is to honor and support the children He loves.
Instead of relying on harsh punishments to force boys to change, we begin with positive expectations. A boy is far more likely to make lasting changes when we appeal to his best instincts.
Camp Doesn’t Mean Falling Behind on School
Allegany Boys Camp is a religiously-affiliated private school registered with the State of Maryland. Your high-school-age child will get an accredited transcript from his time at camp.
A typical camper has struggled in school because of emotional and behavior problems. The camp program focuses on resolving these issues first, so a boy can succeed in school when he gets back to the “real world.” But camp activities also support all the major academic areas boys need to stay on track.
